We are minivan drivers and commuters; multi-taskers and Netflix watchers; we are fast food in the car on the way to practice and pasta dinners with friends on Friday night; we are nurses, Grandpas, baristas, students, parents and pre-schoolers.
We’re not perfect. In fact you don’t have to look too closely to see it’s quite the opposite. But we are, and we are becoming, people of freedom, forgiveness, grace, peace, and hope. What defines us is the good news of Jesus Christ’s life, death and resurrection. Because of him we are no longer orphans in this world, but sons and daughters of God.
We gather together to deepen our roots in this good news, and we scatter to extend it to those who are in our neighbourhoods, our cities, and our world.
We’re fighting to be a church or ordinary people captivated by the gospel of Jesus Christ who are part of an extraordinary movement in our homes, schools, neighbourhoods and workplaces.
There’s lots of ways we’re working this out, but here’s a few good things to know…
• Community Groups – Since church isn’t a building, but a people, community groups are the place we gather to be the church outside the building. Get connected to a community group.
• Starting Point – Whether following Jesus is brand new for you, or you could just use a refresher course, Starting Point is the place for you. This three session course will help flesh out what it means to be a disciple of Jesus in the world we live in. Register for the next session here.
• What We Believe – If you want to know more about the nitty gritty of what we believe read our statement of faith.
