Here’s one of our favourite jokes…
The Sunday School teacher picked up a picture of a furry little animal with a bushy tail and showed it to her young class. “Boys and girls, what is this a picture of?” Tentative hands raised around the room and she chose one small boy to answer. “Well,” said the little guy, “it looks like a squirrel, but I’m going to say…Jesus?”
Jesus is the centre of everything we do, He’s the topic of our conversations, he’s our Commander in Chief, our Saviour, our Hope. He’s the reason we’re here and really we do think He is the answer. (We like squirrels too, but we’re not taking any chances.)
We’re fighting to be a church or ordinary people captivated by the gospel of Jesus Christ who are part of an extraordinary movement in our homes, schools, neighbourhoods and workplaces.
There’s lots of ways we’re working this out, but here’s a few good things to know…
• Community Groups. Since church isn’t a building, but a people, community groups are the place we gather to be the church outside the building. Get connected to a community group.
• What we believe. If you want to know more about the nitty gritty of what we believe read our statement of faith.
